PrintWeen's Unreleased Pizza Hut Jingle
Any of you who are Ween fans may already know this, but back in Aught 2, the band was hired to do the jingle for Pizza Hut's Insider pizza. As you might recall, that was the pie in which The Hut hid the cheese inside. Says Ween:
Earlier in 2002 we were hired by the largest advertising firm in the country to write music for a Pizza Hut commercial. Pizza Hut had hired them to come up with a whole new image to promote their new Pizza, "The Insider" which had all the cheese inside the crust. In keeping in line with their new cutting edge image, the agency hired Ween to do the music, and we delivered in a big way. Unfortunately, they didn't like a single piece of the 6 tunes we submitted and they had us rewriting the song every day for a couple of weeks before they hired someone else. In my opinion, it is one of the best tunes we wrote all last year.

Yeah, uh, if I had to hear that shit fifteen times per Rangers game... coupled with their defensive woes... I'd possibly become suicidal.

as you know, adam, i am a ween collector and i agree with them that those are some of their best tunes of '02. i remember the song that did finally end up in the end, but i don't know what musicians wrote/played it (remember the song "where the cheese go?/inside, inside/where the cheese at?/etc.")

This still brings so much pleasure and joy and laughter every time I hear it... an alltime favorite. I was screaming for them to play this at SUNY Purchase a couple years back.. they didn't...:(

Where did the cheese in fact go?
I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that Pizza Hut is totally lame for not using this cleverly orchestrated jingle, and furthermore I will never eat at Pizza Hut again!
Does anyone know if this songs actually ever been played live or not?

From what I understand (from reading stuff on the web about it), Ween HATES this jingle and hates being asked about it. I doubt they'd play it live. But who knows.
