On a visit to NYC several years ago, we decided to eat at Lombardi's, as it was given a very high rating in our travel book. When our pizza arrived, it was burned totally black on the bottom and tasted terrible. When we notified our waitress, she informed us that it was supposed to be this way, which is ridiculous. She further stated that the ovens are on all week and are very hot by the end of the week, when we ate there. She wouldn't give us a refund, but took a couple dollars off the price for a couple ingredients. We will never eat at this establishment again.

you, dorie, are a dork. lombardi's knows how to make pizza, and it isn't the doughy sloppy sbarra slop from the mall. burnt crust adds character and most of the better pies in the world carry a bit of char.

Louis: You'll have to ask the folks at Luzzo's how they derived the name when you go eat pizza there. This website is not connected with Luzzo's.

Does anyone know any NY Pizza maker that ships his pies frozen?? Really I mean it. What they call pizza in Georgia cannot be explained. Please e-mail. Just want to taste that memory of a NY slice.
Thanks Tom (Flameout49@aol.com)
